I know you’re not fasting, but…

I am referring to the upcoming ACGC event, the ACGC Finale. Well fine by me. You can expect the same shit to happen at any anime event, I mean cosplay, some booths, this and that, bla bla.

But wait! Let us take a closer look at the date. 27th and 28th September 2008. It’s a weekend, so? What’s about the date? Well let us remind you that fasting starts on the 1st of September. Which means that Hari Raya would fall on either 29th or 30th of September. Now do you see why I’m a bit pissed off.

I mean honestly man, don’t they in the ACGC committee has someone Malay? Ok, they might not. But then again don’t any of them has ANY Malay friends? C’mon la, this kind of failure was not suppose to happen in the first place. For one, they should have known beforehand when Hari Raya is held. ALL calenders print the date. You have to be a real retard not to notice it. I know you might not be the one fasting, but hey, for a multiracial country I expect you to take notice more of my religious festival, especially when those stupid politicians are the ones that saying “Ohh we don’t need party base on race. Our one race party should make people in Malaysia understand one another better”. My ass.

I’m not being a racist or anything but I do feel a bit pissed that I respect and try to understand other races religion and beliefs, but then seeing something like this happen. Hey, Malaysia are not only made out of non-Muslims you know. Even many of my Chinese friends said that they are skipping this because it’s a hassle. People will already start to go home to celebrate the holidays usually a week before Hari Raya, and they can’t afford to attend this shit.

Honestly they needed to ask around before coming up with this. Learn to have more respect of others. A blunder like this shows how incompetent you are, not to mention not showing any knowledge of the country you are living in.
