Taking marketing to the extreme: Yuri Seiyuu marries :3

While it’s not a secret that some seiyuu idols are considered to be closer to each other (that means female seiyuus) and ‘hinted’ that they might have attractions to the same sex, it was never more than hints to sell more products and such. But two seiyuus decided to be more extreme and would include their “marriage ceremony” on their upcoming album

The seiyuus in question, 伊藤静 / Shizuka Ito and 生天目仁美 / Hitomi Nabatame have long hinted they have a ’special’ relatioship, but this is the first time that they added something of this nature in their album. Of course it can still be taken with a pinch of salt, altho wiki pages for them states that they ARE lesbian. But then again the data were taken from the Japanese version of their wiki infos, to which we know that it might be done by overzealous fans of theirs.

While there are many seiyuus that were considered to have ‘yuri’ relationship, it must be said usually they are good friends, and this is just some marketing gimmick done by their record label to sell their CD’s more. Usually they have a real boyfriend, just hidden to make sure their popularity doesn’t wane. Hayashibara Megumi was also thought to be a lesbian but she got married to a normal (male) person in the end, so I don’t think there’s anything much in this.
