Ghost in the Shell Live Action Moving Along

Dreamworks adaptation of Masamune Shirow cyber thriller anime/manga title, Ghost in the Shell is going along fine, with Laeta Kalogridis was chosen as the lead writer for the project

Kalogridis is taking over from Jamie Moss, who was originally slated to adapt the popular Japanese franchise to a more western market.

Also involved in this project are Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul of Seaside Entertainment. Avi Arad being famous for formerly being with Marvel and involved with most of Marvel’s adaptation to television and also movies, which includes titles like Spider Man and The Hulk.

Dreamworks has planned this adaptation as a “Live Action 3D”, to which further information is unknown. The probability of it being a fully laden 3D movie filmed on back of a green screen with actors digitally added seems the most propable, being a Hollywood staple of late.
