Bakemonogatari Best Selling Anime Ever

Highly rated SHAFT anime of the year, Bakemonogatari has stamped it’s authority in the anime world as this Shinbo directed adaptation of eccentric novel by Nisio Isin has been given the title of the best selling Blu-ray TV anime ever.

Not even the twice delayed telecast of episode 13 hampers the fans from buying the Blu-ray, with the second volume selling at the region of 58,000 copies, beating the sales of the first volume which sold around 56,000 copies. Easily the best selling title of the year, it only lost out to Evangelion 1.11 as the best selling anime title ever.

We just hope that SHAFT does not follow Kadokawa and proceeds to milk it’s most popular title, giving fans 8 dejavus to buy.
