Seitokai no Ichizon 6. Supa Sentai!

Was watching the parody laden Seitokai no Ichizon ep 6, and there was a scene decipting the council being Super Sentais (that’s Power Rangers to the uninformed). Sugisaki was asked what colour he would want to be, and to that he replied with this

The Zebra was referring to a movie by Takashi Miike, it itself is a parody dark humour decipting a failing school teacher who dressed up as an old super sentai hero, Zebraman. The movie is good, as expected from Takashi Miike, altho the ending was a tad letdown compared to the build up.

Rainbow, was referring to a really old tokusatsu series, Ai no Senshi Rainbowman. Won’t do anyone much good as I doubt any of us were able to watch it, unless you are really old and had lived in Japan/Hawaii when you were a child.

other notable mention was Chizuru went emo after being picked to be Black and Cream practicing the Kamen Rider Henshin pose, even tho they were supposed to be Super Sentais lol
