The highly anticipated movie sequel to the TV anime series, Higashi no Eden (Eden of the East) will have a reworking, and it means that the second movie of this two movie plan will be delayed from it’s original airing date of January 9th 2010

Animation Studio Production I.G. has confirmed that the second movie, dubbed “Paradise Lost” will be shown in March instead. Citing “production issues”, this was due to the story that was originally planned for two 60-minutes movies was expanded, thus meaning they have to extend the running time of the movies as well. The first movie will now run with an added 22 minutes, and the second movie will run for 90 minutes.

The good news is that the first movie will be shown as planned starting this Saturday. With the TV series ending with a cliffhanger, fans will surely want to know what happened to the main protagonist, Takizawa Akira.
