Izumi Konata Now Proud Satte Resident

Famous loli otaku, gamer, and also in a way yuri icon Izumi Konata from the slice of life series Lucky Star has been given a special resident status by the city of Satte, the birthplace of the series in acknowledgement of it has made the city famous.

The special certificate of the Izumi household will be drawn by the series creator Yoshimizu Kagami, once a Satte resident himself, and will be officially registered on the 3rd of January 2010, during the New Year’s holiday. In an attempt to cash in this lucrative franchise, the town is also offering copies of the certificate, which includes not only Konata, but her father Soujirou, mother Kanata, and cousin Kobayakawa Yutaka.

Kagami’s former home, which had also been converted into a museum of Lucky Star of sort, will be listed down as the official address (Satte City Kita 3-14-18) in the certificate.
