New Code Geass Planned

Bandai through it’s mobile website has announced the plan of a sequel to the alternate historical mecha anime, Code Geass which will be revealed in 2010.

The plan for the new sequel was announced by an image that greets the visitor of http://m-pub.channel.or.jp. Signed by “Zero”, it clarifies that this will be a “rebirth” of sort of the franchise, thus sparking the rumours that it might be a remake of the whole franchise.

With this being one of the more popular money maker for Bandai, and judging from the popularity of it’s character, it’s always a sure bet of being milked as much as it can by studios looking to maximise profit while skimping on new ideas, a move created by Kadokawa during the Endless Eight debacle
