Tokikake Live Action Trailer Streamed

The trailer for the latest live action adaptation of Yasutaka Tsutsui’s novel “Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo”, famously known in the west as “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” was revealed yesterday.

The film will feature Naka Riisa, who also had voiced the lead character for the animated version of this franchise. Ironically this time she will be starring as Yoshiyama Akari, the daughter of original lead character Kazuko instead of her niece in the animated version. Both this and the animated version are considered to be a sequel to the original story, but it remains to be seen which can be considered as canon.

The film will open in Japan this March
