So yeah, I got an awesome twit today by Solomon about our attempt to get Evangelion 2.0 to show in Malaysia.
My take on this Anyways, thanks to everyone that was involved during the petition signing. Without your help, we won’t have done it. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart.
We would like to call for a petition to show Cathay Cineplex Malaysia that there are enough EVA fans based in Malaysia & in the hope for them to consider bringing in the latest episode of NOTE: Cathay Cineplex had previously brought in “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone” movie to Malaysia.
 Coming to a cinema near you (in Japan) Yesterday’s edition (ironically, of December) of Kadokawa Shoten’s popular anime guide magazine Newtype revealed the new design for Evangelion Unit-02 which would be piloted by our favourite tsundere queen, Soryuu Asuka Langley in the upcoming Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Ha†(ãƒ±ãƒ´ã‚¡ãƒ³ã‚²ãƒªãƒ²ãƒ³æ–°åŠ‡å ´ç‰ˆ:ç ´).  ãƒ±ãƒ´ã‚¡ãƒ³ã‚²ãƒªãƒ²ãƒ³æ–°åŠ‡å ´ç‰ˆ:ç ´ The official Evangelion Shin Gekijouban 2.0 web site was relaunched, and with it comes the new poster of the new movie. Due in early 2009, it’s titled “Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Ha” (ãƒ±ãƒ´ã‚¡ãƒ³ã‚²ãƒªãƒ²ãƒ³æ–°åŠ‡å ´ç‰ˆ:ç ´) aka “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance”. In it, we see the new female character, who is rumoured to be named “Mari” (マリ) based on her appearance in the Nintendo DS game, Petit Eva: Evangelion@Game (ã·ã¡ãˆã†ã‚›ã～EVANGELION@GAME～ Puchi Eva ~Evangelion@Game~). Well what can I say? I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. The title might be directed to Asuka, as she found out whatever she does, she can’t really beat Shinji for the title of the best pilot, thus she can’t “advance” from her current skills. As the preview show the movie being at least up to the 18th episode of the series, maybe Shinji and Asuka’s interaction would be the main backbone for this one. |
