Yui Is Otaku’s Waifu of Choice

waifuyui
Blur and unreliable moeblob Hirasawa Yui from the hit musically inclined anime series, K-On! has been shown to be the waifu of choice for otakus, at least in the animation magazine “Animage“’s wife ranking (whatever that is and if that even makes any sense). Indeed, her impact is so strong that only once that her reign of terror over the unsuspecting otakus were broken in the last few months by a more mature and level headed Sheryl Nome, herself from another musically inclined anime series.

Sexy Yui Adorns April Edition of Animedia

news2ch48237
Animedia’s April issue, which will be out on the 10th of March will, as predicted, run a cover issue on the upcoming K-On!!. The cover tho shows a happy but surprisingly cloth lacking Hirasawa Yui, no doubt to attract attentions of the limitless numbers of moetards that has been the driving force behind the anime genre market now.

Of Moefication, Marketing and Profit

sora-no-woto-k-on-character-montage
See the picture above. Looks the same don’t they? But what if I tell you that the characters are from two different animes, from two different studios, with virtually a different team of designers and animators? Welcome to the new world of moefication, where basically studios have abandoned all hope of making a good storyline, and instead, holds on the hope that moe will still sell for them. It’s easy to see why really. It’s relatively cheap to do, and compared to the investment, the profit gain, if done correctly can be very high, and that’s not counting the profit from merchandisings and such.

By the way, if you’re wondering, the picture above is a splice between the characters from K-On! and the new anime Sora no Woto. The similarity is striking that you would think that there are something common between the two. But look at this:

suzumiya-haruhi-no-shoushitsu-movie-2
After the debacle that was Endless 8, Kadokawa Shoten finally announced that the much awaited moe infested arc of Suzumiya Haruhi (which includes an extremely more boring and monotone Meganekko Nagato Yuki and a longer haired and more tsundere Suzumiya Haruhi), “Dissapearance” aka Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu will be made into a movie instead.
