Akira Rape Immenant

akira
Just when we thought that we were spared of another Hollywood splice and dice of a Japanese classic, we were proven wrong…

According to my source, screenwriters Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, guys whose work I like, are about to turn in their version of an “Akira” movie and the reason why the project has been so quiet is they’ve been hard at work trying to get the script right.

For those that aren’t familiar with their work, they wrote the amazing adaptation of “Children of Men” and they’re also credited with “Iron Man” (although a lot of that movie was written on the set). But my point still stands that I like their work and I’m happy they’re taking a crack at it.

Fate/Stay Night Movie announced, More of Rin?

Rin Amulet
Geneon Entertainment has announced that Type-Moon Mahou novel, Fate/Stay Night will be adapted into a movie format.

The announcement and also the launch of the official site is all there is at the moment, and not much info has been released yet of this project, but looking at the movie site, it’s highly likely that the movie will feature the Unlimited Blade Works storyline instead of the Saber laden Fate.

Canaan Movie Announced

canaan movie
The movie version of the animated TV series Canaan has been announced on it’s website.

The series, which is a spinoff from the mystery game 478 with characters designed by Type Moon, would be remade into a 3 part movie. Nothing much is certain at this point but as this is just a remake, it’s most certainly a money making ploy to get fans to rewatch what they had watched for free on TV.
