When The Originals Are Not Good Enough…

Sometimes, somewhere, someone goes “hey, this version of this (movie/music/insertAnythingHere) is not good enough. Let us remake/plagirise it”. Thus stuffs like cheap, half hearthed remakes/knockoffs are born. China are famous for their plagirism, but for movies, let’s admit it. Nothing can beat India.
India has been long famous for fighting for it’s creative freedom, as shown by Ghandi. And how else do you epitome the spirit of Gandhi other than using it in your most thriving business, the movies.

Of Hollywood and remakes

dsc01225 It’s now official. “The Legend of Chun Li” was a disappointment. A failure. Nothing can save it. Since it was announced that Kristen.. kristin Kruk Kruk was to be the lead actress, fans was shouting foul. I can’t blame them either, as it certainly did NOT show the essense of Chun Li. Chun Li HAD to be Chinese. It’s not about being racist or being unAmerican. It’s just fact. Every Street Fighter fans out there knows Chun Li’s background, and to change it for the movie was a mockery to fans everywhere. Some still had some faith, saying to wait until the movie was aired before passing a judgement, and aired it did. And as feared, it sucked. BAD.
