Honestly, I was never a lover of classical music. The only ones that I listened to was “Für Elise” on my mom’s old music box. Growing up, I was like any typical guy, listening to pop and new songs and shit. Then I got to watch the Evangelion series. As much as I was taken in by the storyline, I also loved the show’s soundtrack. Not only was the songs written by Shiro Sagasu tugged at your heartstring, but the decision by Anno to include classical music also introduced to me to a new concept of music. One that you need to close your eyes and open your heart to fully discover the beauty of the piece, and what the composer was feeling when he created it.
